International Roundtables

Asia Pacific Roundtable for Cleaner Production (APRCP)

The first Asia Pacific Roundtable for Sustainable Consumption and Production (APRSCP), a regional initiative involving over 14 Asian countries, was held in Bangkok Thailand in 1997. Over 250 participants from 26 countries attended the first APRCP to exchange knowledge and experience in pollution prevention/cleaner production. Since its inception, the APRSCP has held six successful Roundtables.

European Roundtable on Sustainable Consumption and Production (ERSCP)

The European Roundtable on Sustainable Consumption and Production (ERSCP) is a non-profit organization which provides a European platform for stimulation, development and dissemination of new initiatives to foster sustainable development with the prime focus on cleaner production of products, processes and provision of services. The first European Roundtable for Cleaner Production was held in Graz, Austria, 1994.

Indonesian Pollution Prevention Roundtable

The Indonesian Pollution Prevention Roundtable, commonly referred to by the acronym ‘KMB'  which stands for Konferenci Major Bundar in the Bahasa Indonesian language, is a forum for the exchange of information, ideas, experiences, problems, and solutions related to the efforts to improve and increase efficiency and productivity through the implementation of cleaner production strategy.

Philippine Pollution Prevention Roundtable (P3R)

The Philippine Pollution Prevention Roundtable (P3R) was formed in June 1997 to stimulate business and industry, the government, communities and other sectors to adopt cleaner methods in operations to address the growing pollution problems in the country. The Roundtable's first national conference on water pollution was in October 1997.

Roundtable of Américas for Cleaner Production

In August 1998, delegates from Latin American, Canada and the U.S. met in Brazil at the Cleaner Production Conference of the Americas. Understanding the crucial role played by cleaner production and pollution prevention for the achievement of sustainable development in the hemisphere, these delegates decided to launch the Roundtable of the Americas for Cleaner Production. The purpose of this Roundtable is to create and provide mutual support for those in the Americas engaged in bringing about cleaner production activities.

Emerging Roundtable Organizations

The National Pollution Prevention Roundtable (NPPR) signed a partnership agreement with the U.S.-Asia Environmental Partnership (US-AEP) in October 1996 to support the creation of emerging roundtable organizations in eight Asian nations, including Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, Taiwan, Malaysia, South Korea, India, and Singapore.
