Industry Survey on Methods Used to Prevent and Reduce Pollutant Emissions from Construction and Demolition Activities
C2P2 supported Environment Canada's Construction and Demolition Multi-stakeholder Working Group (C&DWG), which is developing measures that will help to reduce and prevent emissions from the sector and lead to improvements in air quality. C2P2 developed and distributed an industry survey requesting information on methods currently used to prevent and reduce emissions from construction and demolition activities, and C2P2 also compiled and interpreted survey results. Both on-line and hard copy surveys were developed and promoted widely to association and corporate firms from across the country. The target audience for the survey comprised those in the construction and demolition sector including owners, workers or environment, health and safety officers.

Municipal Pesticide Reduction Strategy
In partnership with the Federation of Canadian Municipalities, the C2P2 developed a national strategy for pesticide reduction at the municipal level. As part of the Strategy implementation phase in consultation with the FCM Pesticide Steering Committee C2P2 developed the Responsible Pest Management web site. The web site, http://www.pestinfo.ca, provides municipal governments and communities with access to information, tools and networks that maximize opportunities for pesticide reduction.

Northern Ontario Eco-efficiency Program for Industrial Manufacturing SMEs
Working on behalf of Environment Canada-Ontario Region, Federal Programs division, C2P2 is assessing the feasibility of the development of an eco-efficiency program for industrial manufacturing Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in northern Ontario. C2P2 will also outline potential partners, lesson learned from similar programs and the framework for the assessment.

P2 Options Presentation
The Greater Vancouver Regional District (GVRD) is undertaking a review and update of Sewer Use Bylaw No. 164. As part of the Sewer Use Bylaw review process, the C2P2 explored how P2 has been integrated into programs in other jurisdictions. Based on this research, the C2P2 identified five policy options for consideration by GVRD and stakeholders. The C2P2 presented options to stakeholders in June 2001.

SME partnership for a Sustainable Guelph
C2P2 is assisting the University of Guelph, School of Environmental Design and Rural Development in the development of a program to use student interns to support environmental improvement initiatives in Guelph area small and medium sized businesses.
