The successful promotion of the pollution prevention environmental strategy, world-wide, has led to the evolution of initiatives and events such as cleaner production centres, conferences and roundtables. Visit some of the pollution prevention roundtables which have been established around the globe.
• International Pollution Prevention Summit
In October 2000, over 250 leading practitioners from more than 60 countries gathered in Canada to strengthen partnerships and stimulate further action on pollution prevention. One of the key outcomes was the launch of a Global Information Network - a permanent network that goes beyond annual meetings, truly links practitioners and encourages ideas and innovation.
